Are we awake to the kingdom of Yeshua the Messiah? Do you know what time it is? Part 1

Torah: Leviticus 23:26-22 “Elohim said to Moshe, 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom-Kippur; you will have a holy convocation, you will deny yourselves, and you will bring an offering made by fire to Elohim. 28 You will not do any kind of work on that day, because it is Yom-Kippur, to make atonement for you before Elohim his God. 29 Anyone who does not deny himself on that day will be cut off from his people; 30 and whoever does any kind of work on that day, I will destroy him from among his people. 31 You will not do any kind of work; it is a permanent regulation through all your generations, no matter where you live. 32 It will be for you a Sabbath of complete rest, and you will deny yourselves; you shall rest on your Shabbat from the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening.” CJB

In the seventh month of Yom Kippur, it is a time not to work, to afflict your souls and to have a meeting. The Hebrew word used is Anah/ עָנָה or humble ourselves before our Elohim.

What are we doing in our lives that is impacting the kingdom of Elohim? Many times, we think that we need to do big things to make a difference, but the very small things are what make a big difference in our lives and in the lives of the people around us. The smile at the cashier, the good morning, talking to relatives with whom we do not want to talk, the hugs, the attentive ear, the greeting to the neighbor, the good attitude, etc. All the little things that we can do that are really not a heavy burden for us, although they could be hard are the things that Elohim uses for his glory. Believe it or not, every day is a day to be awake in the kingdom of Yeshua with our behavior and obedience, this is great.

Every day our behavior counts; think of David, he was out in the field tending goats and sheep; singing beautiful melodies to Elohim. His attitude was pleasing to Elohim. Many believers are sleeping, waiting for that great moment to do something great; Little things like talking about Yeshua’s love and plan of salvation and keeping his word make a difference.

Romans 13:11-14 “In addition to all this, you know where we are in history; so it’s time for you to wake up from sleep; because the final liberation is closer than when we began to trust. 12 The night is almost over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the actions of darkness and arm ourselves with the weapons of light. 13 Let us live decently, like the people who do during the day, not partying or getting drunk, not committing sexual immorality and other excesses, not fighting or being jealous. 14 Instead, put on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah; and do not waste your time thinking about how to satisfy the sinful desires of your old nature.” CJB

We need to wake up in our dead behavior or the things that we are doing in our daily lives that do not exalt the moral and righteous behaviors of our Lord Yeshua by fleeing from unfair behaviors, bad words, badmouthing someone, taking advantage of others, being impatient , etc.

We need to wake up in our finances and put the blessings that Elohim gives us to work in the kingdom of Elohim. We need to wake up to our speech and tell people about Yeshua without fear.

Do you know what time it is?
