Things People Said

Part 9 – Nicodemus

Nicodemus said:

John 3:4 “How can a grown man be ‘born’? Can he go back into his mother’s womb and be born a second time?”

Nicodemus had a fantastic question and his spirit was seeking for the truth. Obviously, Nicodemus by this point recognizes Yeshua as the Messiah and believes in Him. Can you imagine Nicodemus coming to Yeshua in the night hours? Yeshua responded:

John 3:7-8 “Stop being amazed at my telling you that you must be born again from above! The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it’s going. That’s how it is with everyone who has been born from the Spirit.” CJB

In other words, Yeshua is saying that the Spirit of Elohim breaths on whomever He wants. His voice is heard and we can’t negate or denied that the power of the Ruach has touched us, and enter us. We know that it is Elohim but don’t know in what direction it came in and in what direction it continues to work in our lives to bring us to ONE unity with the father.

Yeshua revealed to Nicodemus that a person needs to receive the Holy Spirit to be born of Elohim’s Spirit. The flesh is flesh, and it deteriorates and does not last because sin is ruling over it, but the Spirit of Elohim last forever. Adam brought death in the flesh, but Yeshua gives life in the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 15:22.)

Romans 8:9 “But you, you do not identify with your old nature but with the Spirit, provided the Spirit of God is living inside you, for anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the Messiah doesn’t belong to him.” CJB

In other words, repent, come to your senses and stop sinning like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:34.

Paul makes it clear that believing in Yeshua is necessary:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 23 “For I also passed on to you first of all what I also received that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,  but each in its own order: Messiah the first fruits; then, at His coming, those who belong to Messiah;” CJB

Yeshua told his disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, the son, and the Ruach Hachodesh (Matthew 28:19.). If you have the son, you have the father, and you have the Ruach if you obey the commandments. Yeshua said, in John 15:14 “You are My friends if you do what I command you.” John 8:31 “If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples.” CJB

In other words, we have to continue to follow the commandments, and we can only do that if we are born again in His spirit. The Spirit gives us discernment and the guidance to moral character behaviors of righteousness.

Today is the day to allow the Ruach to come into your life. Don’t wait.
