Things People Did – Part 2

The Leper who returned to say thanks

Luke 17:11-14 “ Now while going up to Jerusalem, Yeshua was passing between Samaria and the Galilee. 12 As He entered a certain village, ten men with tzara’at came toward Him. They stood some distance away 13 and raised their voices, saying, “Yeshua, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 When He saw them, He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the kohanim.” And as they went, they were cleansed. Now one of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, glorifying God with a loud voice. And he fell at Yeshua’s feet, facedown, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. ” TLV

After this Yeshua said “Weren’t ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

Only one was appreciative, only one returned to praise Elohim. His behavior was of thankfulness and humbleness.  Yes, it was Yeshua who just said the word and it was done while he was on his way. This person was so happy that the only thing in his mind was to praise the one who healed him, to bow down to the one who took away the reproach, the shame, the pain, and the rejection.  The unloved became loved. The outcast became cherished, popular, and likable. The one without a family gained a kingdom family forever.

I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. 2 O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. 3 O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;     you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. 4 Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints,     and give thanks to his holy name.” Psalms 30:1-4.

The leper who was not a leper anymore did not miss the opportunity to do the most joyful action there is ever; to praise Elohim.

You too go and do the same.
