Counselors that will make your life Great Part 1 – Patience

Patience is waiting for something with perseverance.  It is expecting a change or results after a long wait. It is forbearing and long-suffering without complaining. Patience is bearing with one another’s situations and tribulations in love (Ephesians 4:2-3.) Patience is slow to anger. Slow to take revenge.

At one point or another many people might get impatient about receiving a response from people and from God.  This may lead to frustration, lack of faith, anxiety, depression and loss of hope. But the word tells us:

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything—but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Think about Saul in 1 Samuel 13:8-14, Saul got impatient by Samuel not showing up within the time he waited, and he went against God’s commandment and lost his kingdom because of disobedience and impatience.

Think about Jacob in Genesis 29:30. He fell in love with Rachel, and he had to wait for her seven years, but it seemed only like a few days for him because of his love.

Patience can be a great joy instead of a heartache when we apply

Trust: Psalms 37:5 “Commit your way to Adonai. Trust in Him, and He will do it.”

Satisfaction: Psalms 37:4 “Delight yourself in Adonai, and He will give you the requests of your heart.”

Faith: Know that if things don’t work at the time, you want is because God has a plan.

Romans 8:28 “Now we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.”

Love: When we think about how much God loves us. It encourages us to also love; then when we love time passes by.

When we are waiting for something that is taking a long time, it only means that the result would be great, better than we can ever imagine.

Habakkuk 2:3 tells us that our waiting will not prove false.
