The Altar of Burnt Offering – Blood
Yeshua means salvation; when we translate and explain the meaning behind the name, it all comes into perspective. We don’t have that same meaning in English, Spanish, or any other language. The same is when we think about the old testament because we don’t connect the dots.
The altar of burnt offerings is mention in Exodus 27:1-8 Exodus 38. The purpose was to burnt animal sacrifices for the sins of people.
Why did Elohim choose this method of sacrifice?
1: Leviticus 17:11 “11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for yourselves; for it is the blood that makes atonement because of the life.” CJB
Meaning our life is in Yeshua’s blood sacrifice. Why blood?
2: Elohim ordained the blood to serve us as life.
Hebrews 9:20 “20 and he (Moshe) said, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has ordained for you.” CJB. Also, Exodus 24:8.
The concept of death was from the beginning; Elohim gave Adam and Eve instructions not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for if they did, they would surely die. Genesis 2:17.
When they ate from this tree, it set the motion of separation from Elohim, bondage, and eternal death.
