The Articles of the tabernacle Part 11 G/2– Yeshua as the Laver
One unique thing about the kingdom of heaven is that no one impure will be allowed to enter.
Revelation 21:27 “27 Nothing impure may enter it, nor anyone who does shameful things or lies; the only ones who may enter are those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
The same was for the basin in the times of the tabernacle in the wilderness. The priests were not allowed to enter the holy place without washing their hands and their feet because the penalty was death. Some people think that they can enter the kingdom of heaven without purification but Elohim is not a man that can be mocked, (Galatians 6:7.)
Many people say that they know Yeshua the Messiah but they are still living a life of sin.
Matthew 22:11-14 “11 “Now when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who wasn’t dressed for a wedding; so, he asked him, 12 ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him outside in the dark!’ In that place people will wail and grind their teeth, 14 for many are invited, but few are chosen.”
The Hebrew word for basin is hakior כִּיּוֹר meaning molding and through Yeshua’s purity and sanctification, those that accept him are being molded into a reflection of Him.
When we engage in the act of cleansing, we are reminded that Yeshua was willing to humble himself for us to cleanse us.
We see this example during the dinner with his disciples, Yeshua washed the disciple’s feet including Judas Iscariot’s feet, the traitor. Yeshua was completely committed all the way and he knew who was real and who was fake.
The basin of cleansing then is like a moment of decision in which one must look into the reflection of self and decide. Yeshua is that moment of decision in people’s lives. He is our burnt offering; he is the basin of water purification for all humanity and Yeshua cleans the filthiest parts of our lives.
Are you clean?
