Things People Did – Part 3
The women who helped Yeshua
Mark 15:40-41 “There were also women watching from a distance. Among them were Miriam from Magdala, Miriam the mother of Jacob the younger and of Joses, and Salome. 41 They would follow Him and serve Him when He was in Galilee. Many other women who had gone up together with Him to Jerusalem were there also.” CJB
Luke 8:1-3 “Soon afterward, Yeshua began traveling throughout towns and villages, preaching and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of God. The twelve were also with Him. 2 And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Miriam, the one called Magdalene, out of whom seven demons had gone; 3 Joanna, the wife of Kuza, Herod’s finance minister; Susanna; and many others—were supporting them out of their own resources.
One of the wonderful things we can do in the kingdom of Elohim is give. Give out of the special gifts Elohim has given to us through the Holy Spirit. Women were giving their time, and talents, perhaps, washing clothes, and maybe cooking, and the verses tell us that they were contributing financially toward advancing the kingdom of Elohim.
Supporting financially, your local church or synagogue and different organizations are important in advancing and spreading the word of salvation in Yeshua. It takes a special person, to dedicate and help some portion of their finances to help spread the word of Elohim and help the poor, the needy and help people overall in their time of need.
Giving is sowing, Luke 6:38 tells us to give and it will be given to you. The women who surrounded Yeshua were helping in the capacity they could and in different ways. They were all doing it out of their love and personal encounter with the Messiah. He changed their lives and gave them hope, salvation, and overall love. Sowing in the kingdom of Elohim produces life.
In Yeshua’s time, many women were underappreciated, however, Yeshua gave them value, position, and the freedom to help.
Don’t you want to share this something wonderful?
Don’t miss the opportunity to do so, after all, Elohim shared Yeshua with you, so you can have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
