Things You Will Not Find In Heaven - Part 16 – Idolaters
What is Idolatry?
Exodus 20:3-4 “3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them,..”
Simply put idolatry is worshipping anything other than Elohim.
He is supreme and there is no one like Him.
Idolaters think that they can worship Elohim and other idols at the same time. For this reason, Elohim called out Abraham from his land of idolatry and Abraham decided to worship only one God; Elohim the God of Israel.
Many people think they can worship God and worship saints made out of wood and stones or worship saints like Peter or Paul but they are not to be worshiped or prayed to because they are not the source of salvation.
Many people worship nature, a black stone, myth, ideology, traditions, money, men, self, animals, etc.
People who worship idols, light candles to saints, or give food offerings to false gods are against God and are anti-Messiah. They lack faith, knowledge, understanding, wisdom discipline, and obedience.
They are rebellious and have contempt against Elohim.
John 2:8 “Those who are followers of worthless idols turn their backs on all God’s mercies.”
Habakkuk 2:18 “What use is an idol, that a craftsman should carve it–or an image, a teacher of lies? For its maker trusts in his creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.”
There is only one Elohim and one road to salvation.
Like Abraham make your decision today.
