Shavuout – Some things the Ruach Hachodesh does
Shavuout 2022 – Some things the Ruach Hachodesh does
When we know Yeshua the Messiah, we have some great gifts. Two of them of course is love and salvation. Before Yeshua was taken up to heaven; He left the Holy Spirit/Ruach Hakodesh.
Acts 2-1-4 “The festival of Shavu‘ot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place. 2 Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. 4 They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to talk in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.” CJB
During this wonderful Appointed time of Shavuot, Yeshua gave us the gift of the holy spirit; He told us that we would not be left orphans and we will learn and remember his status.
So, what are some things the Holy spirit does:
1: The Holy Spirit give us Power
Luke 24:49 “Now I am sending forth upon you what my Father promised, so stay here in the city until you have been equipped with power from above.” CJB
Acts 1:8 “ But you will receive power when the Ruach HaKodesh comes upon you; you will be my witnesses both in Yerushalayim and in all Y’hudah and Shomron, indeed to the ends of the earth!”
2: The Holy Spirit Testifies
John 15:26 ““When the Counselor comes, whom I will send you from the Father — the Spirit of Truth, who keeps going out from the Father — he will testify on my behalf.” CJB
3: The Holy Spirit will Document and give conviction
John 16:8-11 ““When he comes, he will show that the world is wrong about sin, about righteousness and about judgment — 9 about sin, in that people don’t put their trust in me; 10 about righteousness, in that I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me; 11 about judgment, in that the ruler of this world has been judged.” CJB
4: The Holy Spirit serves as a reminder
John 14:26 “But the Counselor, the Ruach HaKodesh, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything; that is, he will remind you of everything I have said to you.” CJB
5: The Holy Spirit gives us freedom
2 Corinthians 3:17 “ Now, “Adonai” in this text means the Spirit. And where the Spirit of Adonai is, there is freedom. “ CJB
6: The Holy Spirit changes us
2 Corinthians 3:18 “So all of us, with faces unveiled, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into his very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by Adonai the Spirit.” CJB
7: The Holy Spirit will guide us and tell us about the Future
John 16:13-4 “However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future.” CJB
8: Through the Spirit we become sons and daughters of Elohim
Romans 8:14 “All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons.” CJB
9: Through the Holy Spirit Yeshua is with us and have an inheritance
Galatians 4:6 “Now because you are sons, God has sent forth into our hearts the Spirit of his Son, the Spirit who cries out, “Abba!” (that is, “Dear Father!”). 7 So through God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son you are also an heir.” CJB
10: Through the Holy spirit we get all sorts of gifts
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self-control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.” CJB
What are some others:
Courage
Strength
Commitment
Determination
He intercedes for us in prayer
Self-control
Shalom
Revelation
Helps us to walk in obedience
These are some wonderful things that the Holy Spirit does but then what about us?
What are we supposed to do?
As Believers: Tell others about His wonderful Love
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh” CJB
As a nonbeliever: Repent and Believe
John 3:5-7 “Yeshua answered, “Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. 6 What is born from the flesh is flesh, and what is born from the Spirit is spirit. 7 Stop being amazed at my telling you that you must be born again from above! “ CJB
