Things People Did – Part 1

Peter’s mother-in-Law

Matthew 814-15 “And when Yeshua came into Peter’s house, He saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying down, sick with a fever. 15 Yeshua touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began to take care of Him.”

One of the great things that Yeshua did while on earth is served.  With His a humble heart and a desire to help, He encountered people and helped them.  He was in tune with their sorrow and the purity in people’s hearts when it came to their genuine feeling toward other human lives.

Serving was His priority, here with Peter’s mother-in-law we read about a great example of learned behavior on the part of the mother-in-law. A great example of humbleness, love, and gratitude.

We don’t know much about Peter’s mother-in-law; but by her immediate reaction and behavior after her healing, we can learn that she was a woman of great strength, great wisdom, and her hospitality radar was one hundred percent giving.

We also learn that Peter’s mother-in-law was living with Peter and Peter’s wife.  Here we are revealed that Peter had a good relationship with his mother-in-law and that his mother-in-law was acquainted with the things that Yeshua was doing.

Luke 4 and Mark 1 tell us that she got up and served them.  There was a great multitude of people there and served them with passion, without complaint.  The spirit of Yeshua was all over her for she was touched by the one true healer, full of compassion and grace.

Can you imagine, Yeshua caring for Peter’s mother-in-law, He was right there by her side, and He healed her.

Today, He wants to do the same for you.  He is right by your side. Yeshua chose for her body to be immediately healed.  Maybe you are going through a terrible sickness; trust in Yeshua, whether you are immediately healed or your healing does not happen right away, you are still healed in the name of Yeshua for the body will pass away but your spirit will live with Him forever; if you choose Him today.

His healing touch goes beyond this world, it extends to a world after this world.

Let Yeshua touch you today with His great love and the gift of serving.
